Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) is one of the country's busiest stations and is a bridge to three railway lines that run across the city of Mumbai. Recently, the station was ranked second on the list of World's Most Amazing Railway Stations.

Travel website, Wonderslist had made a list of 'World’s 10 Most Amazing Railway Stations' which consisted a variety of stations across the globe that are not just mere railway stations but also 'architectural triumphs as well as historical relics'. New York's Grand Central Terminal was ranked Number One by the website whereas St. Pancras International, London was placed on the third spot.

Accordingly, Central Railways took to Twitter to express their pride:

Built in 1888 to commemorate 50 years of Queen Victoria's crowning, CSMT is the only railway station that has been included in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites. The 131-year-old railway station was built by Frederick William Stevens with a blend of traditional Mughal and Victorian Gothic architecture.

Earlier known as Victoria Terminus (VT), the station was later renamed after the Maratha king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
