The work of a flyover connecting Taloja Panchanand Nagar Colony and Sector 26 between Kharghar Colony and a flyover will begin soon.
The construction of this bridge was stalled for many years. Despite being in planning, the work was stalled due to land dispute. After the administrative approval of the flyover to be constructed over the river Taloja and the Diva-Panvel railway line in the month of September, the long wait of Taloja residents seems to be over after the CIDCO board meeting gave administrative approval.The construction of this bridge will start in the next year. Due to this, the residents of Taloja Panchanand Nagar Colony will be able to cross the flyover directly to Kharghar Colony within a few minutes.

The CIDCO Mandal is constructing more than 30 thousand houses in Taloja Panchanand Nagar Colony. Apart from this, construction by private developers is going on vigorously. One has to travel by Metro to reach Taloja to Harbour Railway. Or you can go to Kharghar and Belapur by Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation bus. But according to the planning of CIDCO's transport department, one can go directly to Kharghar after crossing a bridge from Taloja Colony. Along with the work of flyover, access road, provision of rain water and river water has been sanctioned. This work has been approved in the meeting of the Board of Directors of CIDCO Board in the month of September. This work has been handed over to J. M. Mhatre Infra Pvt. Ltd. for INR 96,46,53, 841. At present, the process of obtaining permission from other departments for this work is going on.
Both Kharghar and Taloja Panchanand Nagar colonies were built by CIDCO Board. Taloja Panchanand Nagar Colony is spread over 132 hectares of land. Due to the Metro in Taloja, urbanisation is taking place at a rapid pace. Various infrastructural works are still going on in the colony, including the expansion of the Metro. Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, CIDCO has taken up the work of mega housing in the colony and these constructions are going on in Sector-28, 29, 31, 34, 36, 37 and 39.
Different options of communication in colonies
A bridge over river Taloja is being constructed on the Diva-Panvel railway line along with an underpass on the Mumbra-Panvel highway to provide various options to the residents of the two settlements from Kharghar to Taloja. The new flyover to be constructed from Pendhar Phata on Mumbra-Panvel Highway will be connected to Sector 26 in Kharghar Colony. Presently CIDCO board has taken up the bridge work in 2018 at Pendhar. This work will be completed in June 2024.
