Now, no opposition to survey for Metro-3

Girgaum – The opposition of Girgaum residents to geo-technical survey for the Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro-3 project seems to have eroded after a meeting with Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRC) on Monday. The concerned authorities assured the residents that this geo-technical survey is only the survey and it will take around a year to start the actual work on the project. Meanwhile, the problem of rehabilitation will be sorted out, assured the MMRC. With this, Girgaum residents have withdrew their opposition to the survey, informed Shiv Sena leader Pandurang Sakpal. The MMRC has chalked out a detailed rehabilitation plan and sent it to the State government for its sanction. Till the rehabilitation issue is not sorted out, Metro-3 work would not be allowed smoothly, reiterated Sakpal.
