Mumbai- Slum Redevelopment Authority will now decide the eligibility of slum dwellers on the basis of Aadhar card. This proposal will take place post elections as the code of conduct has been implemented, said Shankar Bhise, secretary, SRA.
Survey of 1,00,000 slum dwellers done
In the last eight months, the biometric survey is been done of 1 lakh slum dwellers and remaining survey of four lakh slum dwellers will be done post election. Samrt cards will be issued to those whose survey is been done. However, these smart cards will also be issued post elections.
