The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is continuously trying to expedite the work of the coastal road from Versova to Dahisar. Recently, the BMC appointed a consultant for the project and now has issued a tender for the coastal road section from Bangur Nagar to Mindspace Malad under package B of this project. The route will also connect to the Goregaon Mulund Link Road, which will provide direct access from the western suburbs to the eastern suburbs.
This part of the coastal road will be constructed in six parts, said an official of the BMC bridge department. Under the second part, the section from Bangur Nagar to Mindspace Malad will be constructed. The civic body floated a tender for the construction of this area on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Interested companies can submit tenders till December 1, 2023. Tenders will be opened on December 18, 2023. The estimated cost of the entire project is INR16,621 crore.
