The BMC is planning to follow in the South Delhi Municipal Corporation's steps and plans to ask the hotels and restaurants to make their toilets available to the general public. These will be operated on a pay and use model however.
Mumbai Live spoke to city women regarding the idea of using hotel toilets. Most of the women we spoke to said that they would be okay with the idea of getting to use the hotel toilets but they would be happier if the BMC builds more public toilets for women.
