The Western Railways (WR) on Sunday, January 30, launched an enhanced single-window webpage of 'Mission Amanat'.

Under this novel initiative, passengers can track their lost items and easily get them back.

The official uploads details of lost luggage along with photographs on the official website of Western Railway -- http://wr.indianrailways.gov.in -- in the tab of divisions under the link “Mission Amanat – RPF”. This will facilitate the passengers to find and get their missing luggage back.

"Now, passengers can check whether their luggage which went missing or was lost in railway premises or trains is available at the lost property office centres at stations over any of the six divisions of WR through one single window," said chief spokesperson Sumit Thakur to TOI.

In addition, the WR also upgraded e-Meri Saheli web portal in order to provide an impetus to the digital India.

"The Meri Saheli web portal is an upgraded feature of the Meri Saheli project of WR. The main objective is to ensure availability of RPF officers and thereby provide systematic coverage for security of all lady passengers travelling alone in trains," Thakur added.

Moreover, in efforts to achieve WR’s “MISSION ZERO DEATH” on track, 20 pedestrian bridges will be constructed at 16 stations. Of these, construction of eight pedestrian bridges will be completed by March 2022, said officials.
