Byculla bakery: A culinary chronicle

Byculla - South Mumbaikars are savoring Iranian goodies for breakfast and snack i.e. mawa cakes, maska khari, buns, and garama garam chai, for years. A tradition which started from early years of 20th century, these restaurants chronicles Mumbai's culinary journey. It started in 1910. Byculla bakery at Byculla east is one such restaurant which is trying to sustain with changing times.
The decor is typical and the look is gloomy but still Byculla bakery sees regular clients who come there for their favorite which are coconut macaroons , samosas and of course famous Irani chai like filmmaker Shahid Sayed who makes it a point to stop by whenever he is in a 
Besides regular goodies during Xmas and New Year, people flock this place for its plum cake and other pastries. Besides this taste the prices are also to kill for which draw foodies to this place again and again.
