As we celebrate 72 years of Independence, let's not forget about a different kind of dependency we're edging towards. Our water crisis is real, and it's time to get the conversation going.

Various touch points across the Social outlets from August 14 to 19 will act as a guide and share actionable information with the aim of improving our ways of water usage.

On August 15, it's #FreedomBandh as the Social outlets across all cities, except Bangalore, go dry - but Social will, however, be open as per usual and serve dishes from the menu.

Take this opportunity to truly get familiar with the water crisis. Come together to try and make a difference. The artwork has been created by Trisha Bose, who talks about the current water crisis through her work.

The Great Indian Water Crisis is also your Crisis. The privileged, educated human beings are the most fascinating of all sapiens. One may observe them thriving in their natural habitat, shielded by their walls, and buoyed by their unearned confidence. Because the planet is theirs to inherit, they hose, wash, shower, splash, shop, binge, discard, and waste. And when posts talk about the very ground running out of water, they write with an orchestrated flourish, "OMG, how is this happening? #Onebucketchallenge ftw" says Trisha Bose
