International school of drama in Mumbai soon
Prabhadevi - State education minister Vinod Tawde has said that a Maharashtra International School of Drama will soon be constructed in Mumbai.
Tawde was speaking at the inauguration of the Adirang Festival, organised by the National School of Drama, New Delhi and the P.L. Deshpande Maharashtra Arts Academy from 29 December - 31 December in Prabhadevi. The new school would be aimed at encouraging local artistes, he said. The festival is themed on the folklore of the Indian tribal community. Present in the programme were Prof. Waman Kendre, Mumbai University's Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Deshmukh and actor Yashpal Sharma.
