The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that the cyclonic storm Nisarga, which has turned into a depression in the Arabian Sea, will hit Maharashtra and Gujarat on June 3. Follow the live updates for the cyclone here
“All the tree fall incidents reported have begun to be cleared in all wards of Mumbai,” the Environment Minister tweeted while expressing his gratitude to all assistant commissioners.
“BMC’s Garden department and all ward teams have done a great job today by immediately attending to alerts of fallen trees and broken branches due to CycloneNisarg and clearing the roads in the shortest possible time. Debris will be lifted by tomorrow morning,” the Additional Municipal Commissioner of BMC tweeted.

"Along with Mumbai Police, each one of them is preparing for Cyclone Nisarga and is working on COVID response simultaneously," he said.
Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar reviewed the preparations done by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) against the backdrop of Cyclone Nisarga. She appealed citizens to follow instructions provided by the administration.
