Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Mumbai around 10:00 pm on Tuesday. After that, he had a meeting with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule at 'Sahyadri' guest house. There is a possibility that the seat sharing rift in the Grand Alliance will be resolved after the late night meeting.

After the meeting in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Shah left for Mumbai. Earlier, there has been a preliminary discussion between Shinde, Fadnavis and Pawar regarding seat sharing. Shiv Sena is expecting 20 to 22 seats while NCP is expecting at least 10 seats. The general formula is that the seats with existing MPs will remain with the same parties. However, there is a dispute over whether the seats held by Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar group and Congress should be contested by BJP, Shinde or Ajit Pawar group. There is a possibility that there will be a way out in the discussion on Sahyadri.

BJP recently announced the first list of Lok Sabha candidates. It did not include a single place in Maharashtra. It is being said that there is a rift of space allocation behind this. If there is a deadlock in Tuesday's meeting, there is a possibility that the names of some candidates from Maharashtra will be sealed in Thursday's meeting of the Parliamentary Board. It is reported that the BJP is giving instructions about who will be nominated on the seats given to Shinde and Pawar group.
