Six months ago, a major political event took place in Maharashtra. Eknath Shinde formed his own group by defecting Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena. He has named this group as 'Balasahebanchi Shiv Sen’. Their group claims that they are the real Shiv Sena of Balasaheb. Now, MNS too through their play titled 'Balasahebancha Raj', will try to showcase that Raj Thackeray is the real heir of Balasaheb's thoughts.

The play will be showcased with the special cooperation of Thane MNS leader Avinash Jadhav and MNS Film Sena chief Amey Khopkar. The writer-director of the play, Aniket Prakash Bandarkar, while talking to Loksatta, said, "Everyone in Maharashtra believes that Raj Thackeray is the true heir of Balasaheb. We are presenting this very thought via drama. Balasaheb and Raj Thackeray have many common traits. Raj Thackeray has many qualities like satirical painting, role of Hindutva, eloquence, love for party workers, not mixing politics with sensitive issues. A glimpse of these qualities will be shown in the play 'Bala Saheb's Raj'."
