In a significant development, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Aaditya Thackeray is likely to participate in the Congress's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' led by Rahul Gandhi, which is slated to enter Maharashtra on Monday night, November 7.

Earlier in the day, Sena leader Sachin Ahir said that the Thackeray scion is touring Marathwada and the yatra would also be passing through the region.

“The possibility of Aaditya Thackeray attending the Bharat Jodo Yatra cannot be ruled out. The decision will be taken after discussions with the party chief (Uddhav Thackeray). Coincidentally, he is also touring the region (Marathwada) and attempts are being made to see if it (his visit) can coincide with the rally,'' Ahir remarked while talking to reporters.

The idea behind Bharat Jodo Yatra is to bring everyone together and knowingly or unknowingly, people from every section of the society are supporting it. This is to be welcomed if they are coming to Maharashtra, the Sena MLC added.

Meanwhile, Senior Congress leader Ashok Chavan has said the participation of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar in the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' in Maharashtra will depend on his health condition.

On the other hand, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, "I don't think it will impact Maharashtra's politics too much."

"This yatra has come into Maharashtra and we will make all arrangements so that its course is safe, and it will leave Maharashtra safely. We will make arrangements to ensure all programs they have scheduled take place properly," he added.

On public participation in the Congress-led march, he said, "Whoever wants to join this yatra, may join it. This is not a Bharat Jodo Yatra, this is a 'Modiji ko hatane ke liye saath mein aao yatra' ('A march aimed at removing Modiji by bringing everyone together'). Whatever they do, Modiji lives in people's hearts."

For those unversed, the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' will enter Maharashtra on Monday night and reach Deglur in Nanded district from neighbouring Telangana. The yatra will pass through 15 Assembly and six parliamentary constituencies in the state, mostly in the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions, during its 14-day sojourn.

The Yatra will cover a distance of 384 kilometers through five districts of the state, namely Nanded, Hingoli, Washim, Akola and Buldhana.

Rahul Gandhi will travel by car on Yatra routes in Akola district. Many social organizations have participated in this Yatra of Congress.
