After clashes between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress workers during a rally at Borivali railway station, Congress candidate Urmila Matondkar who was present during the incident on Monday accused the BJP workers of using “indecent language”. Matondkar is contesting LS election from Mumbai North constituency. 

While talking to the media, the renowned actress informed that after her rally reached Borivali station, the BJP workers started creating a nuisance. Matondkar claimed that the BJP workers restored to “vulgar dance” and shattered to “indecent language”. The Congress candidate has demanded police protection for her safety. 

Accusing the BJP workers of initiating violence, Matondkar said that during the clashes, BJP workers restored to violence and beat up the Congress workers. She further informed that she has already filed a complaint regarding this with Borivali police and will do the same with Election Commission.

However, sitting BJP MP Gopal Shetty has said that they were not his workers but the regular public who happened to be Modi supporters. Shetty also accused Matondkar of carrying out a rally on railway premises without permission.
