BJP demolishes its own party office

Nariman Point- BJP party workers themselves demolished their party office which was situated at Nariman Point. High Court had ordered to demolish the party offices as it was built on the reserved area.Following the order, BMC only send the notice to the party office but did not take any action. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena was after BMC to carry out the demolition. However, BJP themselves demolished the party office and this raised eyebrow of many. But, BJP spokesperson Madhav Bhandari cleared the rumor saying that they did so as per the court orders.

In 1977-78, PWD had given space to MTDC, Janta Dal, BJP and many institutions to build their offices. However as these offices are built on the reserved space for garden, Citizen Institution had filed PIL to demolish the same.
