Ghatkopar- Four aspiring candidates, all from the same party, are eyeing ward number 123 which interestingly, lacks even basic civic amenities. Residents of Ward 123 of Dongri are deprived of the basic civic facilities. But the interesting part is, there are 4 aspiring candidates for this ward.
Ward 123 is a densely populated ward. This ward is reserved for woman seat for this BMC election. The residents of this ward have been facing problems relating to basic civic needs such as proper roads, public toilets, and sufficient water. Residents said that they have complained about all these problems several times and now it’s been a year till now no action from Municipal Corporation has been taken.
There is nothing like development works seen in this wards but as now the BMC elections are near, there are 4 aspiring candidates are having scuffle. Harshada Kode from last 16 years, Babita Chauhan from last 10 years are working here as an active worker in this area. And to the other side Sangeeta Padwal and Jayshree Chowgle had joined BJP just before 2 months and even they seem to be interested in the same ward. Now it will be interesting to see that which 4 names BJP will give for this ward.
