Pedder road- Ex MP and Congress leader Milind Deora who was optimistic that Mumbai would vote for change on polling day has accepted congress failure to influence voters to vote for Congress. In his words "Sadly, @INCIndia failed to halt infighting, play up local issues, expose Shiv Sena-BJP's backdoor alliance & inspire Mumbai to vote 4 change".

Deora also sarcastically commented that Mumbaikars are content living with abysmal civic conditions. In his words,"Conclusion one can draw from BMC election results is that Mumbaikars seem content living with potholes, flooding, malaria & water tankers".

Congress has manged to get 31 seats in this elections which may play crucial role in final power calculations.Though Milind Deora cannot sideline the abysmally low voter turnout in the post South Mumbai wards.
