Babasaheb Ambedkar's Memorial will be completed by 2020: CM Devendra Fadnavis

Along with this, permanent facilities will be made available for the followers of Babasaheb Ambedkar who throng at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar to pay tribute to Ambedkar on Mahaparinirvan Divas that falls on December 6

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has assured that Babasaheb Ambedkar’s memorial will come up in Dadar's Indu Mill premises by 2020. He was speaking at the inauguration of a new suburban corridor on Central Railway linking Nerul and Belapur in Navi Mumbai with Kharkopar in Ulwe.

Along with this, he also promised of building permanent facilities for the followers of Babasaheb Ambedkar who throng at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar to pay tribute to Ambedkar on Mahaparinirvan Divas that falls on December 6. He added that the government would be doing so for the followers who will not have to stand in a queue on Mahaparinirvan Divas.

CM Fadnavis added that a sum of ₹100 crore has been sanctioned for Nagpur's Deekshabhoomi, out of which a fund of ₹40 crore has already been given. Facilities will be provided to the followers from all over the world at Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur and Ambedkar Memorial in Mumbai, he said.
