Congress' Surjewala lashes out at BJP, Shiv Sena
Dadar- Senior Congress leader and media cell in-charge Randeep Surjewala lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena saying the two parties had merely ruled the city for 20 years, but only exploited Mumbaikars in name of development.
According to Surjewala, the BMC’s budget is far higher than that of other civic bodies in the country and yet, Mumbaikars have been deprived of basic amenities. Surjewala said that chief minister Devendra Fadnavis claims that his government is transparent but has himself done nothing to set an example for others.
BJP, Surjewala alleged, has given tickets to candidates with a criminal record. He posed an open question to Fadnavis, asking why the CM helped candidates like Pankaja Munde, Vinod Tawde, Jaykumar Rawal, Ravindra Chavan, Girish Mahajan, Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar, Chandrashekhar Bawankule to escape the due process of law when they had been linked to several scams.
