After Mumbai Additional Municipal Commissioner Vijay Singhal's statement to remove potholes from the city in 48 hours, Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam lashed out and said that the deadline has passed but 20,000 potholes in Mumbai still remain.
Accusing the BMC of neglecting people in the city, the Congress leader said that if anyone dies due to potholes, BMC won’t be spared.
In case of one more death, I would sit in the police station and will personally register an FIR against Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Uddhav Thackeray, BMC’s Mayor and Municipal Commission,” Sanjay Nirupam said.
Taking a dig at Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, Nirupam said that Uddhav Thackeray claims that Mumbai is his own property but on this issue, he is not available.
On the issue of #Potholes in Mumbai, #BJP & #ShivSena are still in denial mode. My warning to them is if anybody dies due to crater in the city,I will agitate to launch criminal proceedings against top leaders of the ruling parties and #BMC Mayor & Commissioner.#आओ_पॉटहोल_गिनें pic.twitter.com/QInEcCC7oI
