Ahead of Maharashtra Elections, the Education Minister meeting MNS chief has created many political speculations

BJP leader and state Education Minister Vinod Tawde met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray at Krishna Kunj in Shivaji Park and talked for nearly an hour. However, there is no information about the topic of their discussion.

Ahead of the Maharashtra Elections next year, the opposition parties and its leader seem to get closer. Earlier, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari met each other. Also, after getting bail, NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal met BJP minister Girish Mahajan and now, Tawde’s visit has given rise to many speculations.

On one side, Raj Thackeray has been openly opposing the government’s projects including Nanar Oil Refinery, Bullet train criticising the BJP and giving slogans such as “Modi and BJP free” country. However, his recent meet with Tawde and BJP’s Mumbai President Ashish Shelkar has raised many eyebrows. 

However, it has come out that Tawde went to Krishna Kunj to invite Raj Thackeray for the Natya Sammelan which is going to take place in Thane.

MNS General Secretary Sandeep Deshpande said that “Education Minister Vinod Tawde met MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Thursday morning. On this visit, Tawde has invited Raj to play Natya Sammelan in Thane. There was no political discussion between the two.”
