Mumbai – The activists having updated information about road toll have lodged a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Bureau against chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, PWD minister Eknath Shinde and MSRTC managing director Radheshyam Mopalwar for neglecting the demand for closure of toll plazas in the state.

Toll experts Sanjay Shirodkar, Vivek Velankar, Shrinivas Ghanekar and Pravin Wategawar informed about their complaint with the ACB in a press conference here on Wednesday.

These toll experts have studied the system and alleged that there is a massive scandal in the toll system. In one such scandal, the contractor has earned the entire amount in the year 2016 and the tenure of toll collection will end in the year 2019. The toll contractors will earn around Rs 250 crore by fleecing the common people.
These toll experts have been demanding closure of these toll plazas but no action is ever taken against the toll contractors. This has forced them to approach the ACB, claimed complainant Sanjay Shirodkar.

When contacted, MSRTC managing director Radheshyam Mopalwar said that closure of toll plazas is a policy decision and MSRTC has no right to take any decision in this regard. As complaint is lodged against the MSRTC, we will face the charges and cooperate in the inquiry, he said while talking to Mumbai Live.
