Kandivali - The traditional Haldi Kumkum ceremony is a smart way to not just get women together for a festive event, it could also be a forum to tom tom past achievements and promise a few more goodies for politicians.
A haldi kumkum at Hanuman Nagar in ward 28 that boasts a population of around 5000, saw Congress' poll aspirant Rajpath Yadav and incumbent corporator Ajanta Yadav speak about their achievements. Around 500 women took part in this ceremony.
Special mention was made of the fact that Yadav had enabled the functioning of a public toilet that had been lying defunct for quite a while.
