Dharavi - Though the State Election Commission has announced the Code of Conduct, yet political parties find their ways to woo the voters. Hindu Yuva Sena celebrated Pongal at 90 feet road where RSS Konkan chief Abhijit Gokhale was present along with VHP's Konkan leader Aniruddha Pandit, Tamil Nadu’s senior journalist Nambi Narayanan, SS ward chief Muttu Tevar, Yuva Sena ward chief Pravin Jain, Vasant Nakashe, Kamlesh Wariya and others.
A large number of Tamilians reside in Dharavi and so every year Pongal is celebrated with great enthusiasm wherein people of Marathi community also participate. Foreigners also throng to witness this festival.
