INS Chennai, the mean destroyer!

Mumbai - INS Chennai, built at the Mazagaon Dock Shipyard is a Kolkata class destroyer. It is slated to be commissioned in Indian Navy's fleet on Monday. It will be 10th destroyer in the Navy. It has all the advanced machinery which can prove more than necessary in a combat situation. It can accommodate 350 soldiers and 40 officers. Following the commissioning, INS Chennai will be placed under the operational and administrative control of the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command. On completion of some additional sea trials of ship-borne systems, she will be assigned to the Western Fleet and would be based at Mumbai.
