It has been a few days since Uddhav Thackeray was sworn in as the Chief Minister. in addition to this, the Maha Vikas Aghadi government managed to pass the floor test on 30th November without many hiccups. The big question that has been ruling on people's mind is how the portfolios will be divided amongst the three parties. Given the time it is taking for the announcement to made, it has also made some people wonder if all is well between Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP
As of now, there are no announcements been made. However, it is being said that the picture may become clean in a coming couple of days. News agency IANS quoting a source said, "It will take two-to-three days more and we hope that the alliance will finally decide. We accept that portfolios should have been distributed but sometimes it takes time. But let me tell you all is well".
While it is still taking time for the ministeries to be allocated, there have been some important announcements been made by the government. They have announced a stop at the on-going construction in Aarey for the Metro 3 line and also directed that not a "leaf will be cut" in this area till further notice. TheMaha Vikas Aghadi government is reviewing the project. It has also dropped all cases against the green activist who were protesting in this area for cutting of trees to make way for the construction.
