According to the latest reports, the Mumbai Police has deployed heavy security in the New MHADA colony in Mankhurd following unidentified miscreants damaging parked vehicles in the vicinity on Sunday, April 10, night. It has been reported that nearly 25 vehicles including cars and autorickshaws were damaged in the city, remarked the police. 

Based on accounts, an FIR has also been registered against an unidentified case. An officer was quoted in narratives elucidating how an investigation is ongoing to identify the accused and the cause behind the attack. Reports claim that the occurrence was captured by a CCTV camera where men were seen vandalizing motors. 

In the aftermath of this incident, Maharashtra Home Minister, Dilip Walse Patil reportedly remarked that action will be undertaken against those looking to give the incident a communal angle. He then urged all to maintain peace and harmony. 

Dilip Patil urged the citizens to assist the police to maintain law and order in Maharashtra. He lashed out at the opposition by mentioning that members of certain political parties have been giving "proactive" statements that may increase enmity between communities. 

Patil added that requisite legal action could be taken against those who instigate communal tensions in Maharashtra. Thus, he requested citizens to cooperate with them in order to maintain communal harmony in the state.
