When asked to confirm the same, CM Fadnavis said, “aagey aagey dekhiya kya hota hai (let us see what happens)”. CM’s response generates strong speculations that the Mohite-Patil duo can join BJP. Earlier, according to the reports, Ranjitsinh had a meeting with the CM on Monday. It is said that if the former Deputy CM and his son join BJP, it can be a major blow to the “mega-alliance” in Maharashtra.

CSMT Bridge Collapse

The police today arrested the structural auditor, Neeraj Kumar Desai, of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for declaring the Himalaya foot overbridge (FOB) safe despite the shortfalls in the structure. Earlier, amid the blame-game among administration over the FOB collapse which killed six people and left 36 injured, Shiv Sena in an article published in its mouthpiece held the increasing population responsible for the collapse.

Talking about the same, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that they have been elected by the people to not put blames on each other. This is a serious issue because there is a fault committed by the structural auditor. Corrective steps are being taken so that this kind of incident does not happen again, added CM Fadnavis.
