As per the Election Commission of India (ECI) reports, of the 8.7 crore voters across Maharashtra, around 1.19 crore voters will cast their vote for the first time in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. As per the statistics, the first-time voters consist of 18 to 19-year-old voters who will exercise their Right to Vote for the first time.

The state will hold the Lok Sabha elections across 48 constituencies in April this year. The election will be conducted in four phases, i.e. on April, 11, 18, 23, and 29.

In Maharashtra, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena have formed a pre-poll alliance and will contest the LS polls on 25 and 23 seats, respectively. On the other hand, Congress has decided to contest on 26 LS seats along with its ally Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), who will contest on 22 LS seats.
