On Sunday, July 17, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde mentioned that the state will take all measures to see to it that the Union's drive of "Har Ghar Tiranga" as part of the 75th Independence Day anniversary is successful, reports stated. 

According to accounts, a meeting was conducted by the Central Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Affairs as well as other state CMs were in attendance. As part of the campaign, the union government looks to hoist the tricolour in 20 crore houses across India between August 13 and 15, 2022. 

Based on narratives, Shinde elaborated that the state will be taking a keen interest in the scheme and ensuring an awareness campaign to propel public participation. He added that the government will take the assistance of self-help groups and involve the corporate sector in the drive.

Shinde was quoted in reports elaborating on how the initiative will curate a wave of patriotism in India because the national flag is a symbol of the citizen's national love and pride. This he believes will give strength to build a strong nation. 

Shinde reportedly added that a Swarajya Mahotsav was organized in the state from August 9 to 17 and also a portal was launched named, "Maha Amrit Mahotsav" for Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
