Recently, there was a huge furore regarding the felling of trees in the Aarey Area. Approximately 2,700 trees were cut in the Aarey region to make way of Metro 3 car-shed. However, it seems that the issue did not rank too high when it comes to voting. According to the trends that have come so far, it seems that the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance will get a full majority.
However, for people that still feel for Aarey, there is still a ray of hope. Yuva Sena Chief of Shiv Sena, Aaditya Thackrey too has won from Worli seat and during campaigning, he had promised that if he gets voted then he would work for the cause of Aarey. Twitterati too were quick to point the same to him.
We will now have to wait a little longer to see if he keeps us his promise to save Aarey.
