Maratha Reservation Issue: Maratha Kranti Morcha agitates again

Mumbai Police detained 10 Maratha activists in Matunga while they were protesting

In order to intensify their agitation over the reservation issue, Maratha Kranti Morcha (MKM) on Monday decided to protest in huge numbers across Maharashtra including Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Nanded, Nashik. 

Maratha Kranti Morcha activists informed that their agitation is because Maharashtra government has only given assurance to their community regarding the reservation but has not done anything about it.

Despite the formation of the sub-committee by the state government, Maratha Kranti Morcha alleged that the state government is not working towards enacting a law to provide reservation to the community. Thus, people have been protesting against the Maharashtra government.

Several MKM activists marched towards Mumbai causing traffic problems in the city. Mumbai police also detained 10 activists in Matunga.
