Mumbai - Could Vinayak Mete lose his post of president of the Shiv Smarak Samiti, just because he sought a meeting with Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray?
It would appear that way, although certain factions within the Maratha community have been lobbying to have Mete removed from the post for some time now, unhappywith his style of functioning. A delegation of some factions of the Maratha community met Maharashtra CM, Devendra Fadnavis on Monday and demanded that Mete be dismissed from his post. His visit to Matoshree and the meeting with Uddhav Thackeray appears to have been the last straw. Mete has earlier criticised the BJP for highjacking the programme organised by the Shiv Smarak Samiti foundation to inaugurate the Shiv Smarak in Mumbai.
