Mumbai- The demand of naming Dadar Mono railway station as Vitthal Mandir has been dismissed by MMRDA. Vitthal devotees has demanded name Dadar Mono station to be named as Vitthal Mandir.
When Mumbai Live spoke to MMRDA Additional commissioner, Sanjay Khandare, he replied that this demand cannot be fulfilled. He added the name board is ready and installed at the stations and the documents are also completed by this name.
Ticketing to Signalling, the system will work with the same name, and no changes can be done now.
According to Vitthal committee member, Deepak Shinde, until the name changes to Vitthal mandir, they will not let the inauguration take place.
