Here's why Raj Thackeray has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital

MNS chief Raj Thackeray has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre at Bandra. According to reports, he had complained of back pain and it is following this that he had been taken to the hospital. 

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had chaired an all-party meeting via video conferencing to discuss the growing number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra. It is said, that Raj Thackeray could not attend this meeting due to this back pain. Maharashtra is currently observing weekend lockdown to break the chain. However, it is said that in this meeting it was mentioned that the state may need to go in a complete lockdown mode to be able to manage the cases. 

Coming back to Raj Thackeray, he is likely to undergo minor surgery and that is the reason why he has been admitted to the hospital today (April 10). It is being reported that Thackeray will be undergoing lumbar muscle surgery today itself. He had been having difficulty sitting up due to the injury and complained of back ache. 

Thackeray is a sports lover and is often seen playing tennis. During one of the matches, he had injured himself in January. As per sources he will be kept under observation for the day and will be discharged from the hospital on Sunday morning.
