According to the latest reports, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray, on Monday, May 2 took to Twitter to appeal to his party workers to not perform the proclaimed "Maha Aarti" on Tuesday, May 3.

This he said should be done to ensure that no social tension is created during the celebration of Eid.

Based on accounts, his tweet read that tomorrow is the festival of Eid. He added that during his address at the rally on Sunday, May 1, he remarked about the same as well.

Further his tweet elaborated on how the Muslim community should celebrate the festivity with happiness. Thackeray uttered that while it was decided earlier, on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya to hold a "Maha Aarti", he has now asked his party workers to not partake in the same.

The MNS chief voiced that the party does not wish to create any hindrances during any festivals. He elucidated that the issue of loudspeakers is not a religious one, but instead a social one.

Since Thackeray believes that the loudspeaker row is a social problem, what needs to be done about the same will be shared by him on Tuesday through his Twitter.

Thackeray had addressed a public mega rally on Maharashtra Day during an event in Aurangabad. Herein he reiterated that if loudspeakers are not taken down then the Hanuman Chalisa would be played with double volume compared to Azan from May 4.
