Leaders and workers of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) have objected to the use of the song Jai Ho on the musical stretch of the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Coastal Road in Mumbai. The stretch has been designed to play the tune when vehicles pass over it at a designated speed, offering a unique driving experience.

The protest began after an MNS youth leader raised the issue on social media, following which party workers gathered at the site to express their opposition. They argued that instead of Jai Ho, a Marathi song should be played to better represent the state’s cultural identity. The party has specifically demanded that the state song Garja Maharashtra Majha or another Marathi melody be used on the road.

MNS leaders stated that Maharashtra’s pride and linguistic heritage should be reflected in such public projects. They also warned that if their demand is not addressed, the party may intensify its agitation in the coming days.
