With the ongoing wave of opposition leaders joining the ruling parties including Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, it is being speculated that senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Chhagan Bhujbal may join Sena.

According to the reports, the senior leader is likely to join Shiv Sena ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. However, nothing has been official yet.

The speculations regarding Bhujbal joining Shiv Sena intensified after NCP leader Supriya Sule, daughter of party’s chief Sharad Pawar, said that the party is going through a tough phase and it feels bad when people leave you in such times.

When asked about leaders leaving NCP, Sule said that it is a democracy and everyone has the right to take their own decision. “We don’t put pressure as it is not our principle,” Sule added.

Earlier in July, Bhujbal had ended the claims of him joining Shiv Sena. However, according to sources, when Supriya Sule called Bhujbal, she ended up speaking to his family member and wasn’t able to reach the senior NCP leader.
