Supreme Court, in its order, allowed the dance bars in Mumbai to re-open, after which the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) alleged of a tie-up between the government and Bar Owner Association. NCP leader Nawab Malik claimed that Maharashtra government was soft on the case in the apex court.
While addressing the media in a press conference, Malik said that there was a deal between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the owners, referring to a meeting which happened between both the parties two years ago.
Two years ago, in a meeting between CM and bar owners, a deal was made to re-open dance bars. Therefore, the Maharashtra government went soft on the arguments in the Supreme Court,” alleged Malik.
Along with Nawab Malik, NCP leader and Maharashtra Legislative Council opposition leader Dhananjay Munde also alleged the same. Munde further said that he was worried about the consequences of this decision.

Supreme Court on Thursday allowed the dance bars in Mumbai to operate but with certain conditions, that it will be open from 6:00 in the evening till 11:30 in the night. The court also said that the bar girls can only be tipped for their service.
