No change in State’s leadership: Gadkari

Mumbai – It was speculated that Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis would be appointed as new defence minister of the country after Manohar Parrikar sworn in as chief minister of Goa. But Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari has firmly stated that there would be no change in the Maharashtra cabinet.

“Prime minister Narendra Modi would decide who would be the new defence minister. The news channels have to work 24X7 and hence they create such stories,” said Gadkari.

Commenting on the political affairs in Goa, Gadkari said that the Supreme Court had directed to hold a show of strength in Goa Assembly. “We have proved our majority. The charges levelled against us were false and it is proved,” he added.

The party that could not decide its leader should not level charges against us, he taunted the Congress without taking its name.
