CST - Praveen Gaikwad, president of the Sambhaji Brigade, has quit the party after a long stint of 25 years, and moved to the Peasants and Workers Party of India (PWP) better known as the Shetkari Kamgar Paksha.
Gaikwad joined the PWP along with his party workers and supporters on Monday. The announcement was made by MLA Bhai Jayant Patil. Gaikwad took a dig at the government over the issues of the proposed Shivaji memorial and the issue of agitation for reservations for the Maratha community.
