Dharavi- Residents of 90 feet road in Dharavi staged a protest against PETA on Wednesday, under the guidance of Shiv Sena upashakha pramukh Muthu Thevar, with members of Tamil Students Association.

Many tamilians took part in the protest.  According to them "jallikattu" is a part of their tradition and they demanded  that the court order to ban jallikattu should be reversed immediately. The studentstied black arm bands to express their agitation against American NGO PETA.
Pongal which is celebrated with full of zeal and enthusiasm in Tamil Nadu, is incomplete without jallikattu. The tradition to fight with bull has become an intergral part from 2000 years ago in Tamil Nadu. The protesters also asked that who gave right to the PETA (American NGO) to object to their traditional game. “Can they put a ban on bull fight which takes place in Spain” said angry Pradip Nityanandam.
