Lok Sabha Polls: 4 districts in Maharashtra have more female voters

Till April 8, a total of 9,24,91,806 voters have registered in the state. There are 4,80,81,638 male voters and 4,44,04,551 female voters.

About 9.5 crore voters are set to cast their votes for 48 seats/constituencies in Maharashtra in the Lok Sabha elections. 

However, till April 8, a total of 9,24,91,806 voters have registered in the state. Of which, there are 4,80,81,638 male voters and 4,44,04,551 female voters.

According to data revealed by the Election Commission, in the state, Pune district has the highest number of voters. There are more than 30 lakh voters in five districts Ahmednagar, Solapur, Jalgaon, Kolhapur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Besides, Buldhana, Amravati, Yavatmal, Nanded, Raigad, Mumbai city, Beed, Satara, Sangli and Palghar have more than 20 lakh voters.

Female voters' dominance in 4 districts:

Meanwhile, in four districts Nandurbar, Gondia, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg, the number of female voters is more than male voters. 

The total number of voters of Ratnagiri is 13,03,939 which includes 6,72,916 females and 6,31,012 males.

The total number of voters of Nandurbar is 12,76,941. Of these, the number of male voters are 6,37,609 while the number of female voters is 6,39,320.

Gondia has a total of 10,92,546 voters, including 5,41,272 male and 5,51,264 female.

The total number of voters in Sindhudurg is 6,62,745. Of the total, male voters are 3,30,719 while the female voters are 3,32,025.

The Election Commission has started preparations for voting in the state in five phases on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13 and May 20.
