The plane crash involving Ajit Pawar is currently under investigation by multiple agencies, including the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau, and the State CID. In the Maharashtra Assembly, minister Ashish Shelar stated that the inquiry is ongoing and that the actual cause of the crash will only be clear once all reports are completed.
However, opposition leaders have raised several concerns, pointing out that Pawar’s personal belongings like his phone and watch were found intact while the aircraft’s black box was reportedly destroyed, leading to questions about possible signal interference or an explosion before the crash.
Amid these doubts, Nana Patole alleged that the incident may not have been accidental but a deliberate conspiracy, accusing the government of misleading the public and demanding an independent probe by a retired High Court judge.
Several MLAs also called for greater transparency and clarification of all suspicious aspects, including circumstances before Pawar reached the airport. Overall, while the government has urged patience until the investigation concludes, the opposition continues to press for a more independent and thorough inquiry, keeping the issue politically charged.
