Raj Thackeray, chief of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), launched an ambitious new initiative titled “Maharashtra Next” during the Gudi Padwa rally in Mumbai.
As part of this initiative, a dedicated website was introduced to crowdsource ideas and suggestions from citizens across Maharashtra. The platform invites public input on around 27 key sectors, ranging from infrastructure and education to employment and urban development, aiming to create a comprehensive roadmap for the state’s future.
Thackeray highlighted that the goal of “Maharashtra Next” is to make governance more participatory by directly involving citizens in shaping policies, rather than relying solely on top-down decision-making. He encouraged people, particularly the youth, to actively contribute their ideas and be part of building a progressive and forward-looking Maharashtra.
During his address, Thackeray also expressed confidence in the future of MNS, reiterating his belief that the party will eventually come to power. The initiative is being viewed as a strategic attempt by MNS to expand its appeal, present a long-term development vision, and strengthen its connection with voters ahead of upcoming political challenges.
