On Sunday, June 26, Yuva Sena President and Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray addressed the Yuva Sena workers and critiqued the Centre following its decision to provide CRPF security to rebel MLAs at a Guwahati hotel. According to reports, Thackeray voiced that instead of providing security to these MLAs, it should have been provided to Kashmiri Pandits to secure them first.

Thackeray added that they have been demanding the CRPF security for the Kashmiri Pandits, but instead these rebel MLAs have been given security. In addition to this, some other Shiv Sena leaders have also slammed the Union over the CRPF cover.

Based on accounts, the Yuva Sena president challenged the rebel MLAs "who have been sold out for a price tag" to resign from their post if they have guts and face elections. He declared that he will ensure that all of them lose.

At a party workers’ rally organised in south Mumbai, by the Shiv Sena's youth wing, Yuva Sena, Thackeray remarked that the rebel MLAs are traitors and described Eknath Shinde's faction as the "dirt" of Shiv Sena. He was quoted saying that the MLAs who have revolted were never theirs and thus now, the dirt of the party is gone. He believes that now whatever will happen will be for the good.

Further, he claimed that the revolt is transpiring not because of the opposition but because their own people betrayed them. In the midst of Shinde's rebellion and the slated BMC elections, the Yuva Sena is organising such meetings at every party division in the city to keep the cadre intact.

Thackeray articulated that the party is still intact and new candidates especially women and youth would receive a chance in the upcoming elections.

The leader enunciated that "two-floor tests" could be conducted in the near future, one in the house which will be in the state assembly and the other outside on the roads. Nonetheless, the floor test will happen definitely he said. Indicating that the rebel MLAs will have to face party workers on the arrival he stated that on the floor test, the rebels will have to first land at the airport and cautioned them to remember that the road to Vidhan Bhavan goes via BandraWorliParel and Byculla.

Thackeray further attacked the Centre that while they may be deploying the army, CRPF and paramilitary when the rebel MLAs are brought to Mumbai, the Union will have to answer the state and the country if what is transpiring is democratic.

Narratives suggest that the Shinde's camp has claimed that it has 39 of the Sena’s 55 MLAs. The recent addition to their camp has been Uday Samant, Minister for Higher Education and Technical Education who flew to Guwahati on Sunday. With several independent MLAs also with Shinde, he alleges that he has the support of over 50 MLAs.
