Aaditya Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray group, had challenged Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to resign and contest elections against him from Worli.

Aaditya Thackeray raised the same issue on the occasion of Shivsamvad Yatra. After that, Thackeray group's MP and chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut also tried to dissuade the Shinde group on this. CM Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be felicitated by the Koli community in the evening on February 7, 2023. In the wake of this, Raut has challenged that the CM should resign and go to Worli.

While interacting with the media, Raut said, “Aaditya Thackeray, a 32-year-old young leader has challenged the government. This has led to a political earthquake and it is quite interesting. Today, the Chief Minister is not coming to Worli alone but is bringing the Home Minister along with him. We stand by Aaditya Thackeray's challenge. We will wait till evening to see if he resigns or Chief Minister-Deputy Chief Minister comes with police force. Today we will see how the state government got afraid of a 32-year-old youth.”

Modi army will enter Worli today
When Aaditya Thackeray lost the Worli Assembly election, the BJP suggested that Aaditya Thackeray should resign. When asked about this, Raut said, "There is no need for the Bharatiya Janata Party to get involved, it is none of their business. The Chief Minister himself said that we are Modi's people. That is why the Modi army is coming to Worli today. As the Modi army will come under the mantle of the Chief Minister, the BJP is expected to play tricks.”
