Sena leader prefers party over wife
Mumbai- BMC elections are announced and all political parties are coming out with their list of candidates. Dadar- Mahim’s ward no 191 is considered very crucial as Congress is fielding its candidate which will give a tough fight to Shiv Sena, MNS, and BJP candidates. This candidate is none other than Loshna Shah who is the wife of Shiv Sena’s deputy ward chief Ashwin Shah’s wife.
While MNS corporator Sandeep Deshpande is fielding his wife Swapna Deshpande from ward no. 191, former mayor Vishakha Raut will be contesting from SS. BJP is yet to confirm their candidate.
In the last election, Ashwin Shah had contested from ward no 185 and had bagged 2977 votes. After his stint at Congress, he joined Shiv Sena where he was selected as deputy ward chief. He played an important role by bringing in MNS former corporator Prakash Patankar to SS.
Will Ashwin Shah promote his wife who is contesting from BJP or will do his party’s (SS) promotion? Time will tell. However, when Ashwin was asked about his stand, he made himself clear that he will support his party’s his wife is capable enough to promote herself.
