Vikhroli - Soon after the voting for BMC polls is over, Shiv Sena office-bearer in ward no. 123, Sunil Patil, suffered a deadly assault in which he sustained critical injuries and undergoing treatment at the Rajawadi Hospital. It is alleged that the supporters of rebel Sena corporator Sudhir More attacked Patil.
On Monday night, More was allegedly distributing money to voters in his ward. This is said to be the reason behind the assault on Patil. After the attack, Patil was admitted in the hospital. After registering Patil’s statement, police have arrested Kiran More (29), Pravin More (27) and Sandesh Dalvi (44). Parksite police are investigating this case further.
Meanwhile, a complaint against Sudhir More has been registered with the police for threatening Sena candidate from ward no. 123 Dr Bharti Bawdane. Sudhir More had revolted against the party and supported the independent candidature of his brother’s wife Snehal More from the said ward.
